Philos comes from “philosophy” which is composed of two ancient Greek root words: philos (love) and sophia (wisdom).
INSPIRATION
In Athens there is an ancient stadium. It is made entirely from marble from the same quarry as the Parthenon. It has hosted running events since 600 BC. In 1896 AD it hosted the first modern Olympics and the first ever marathon. It is the oldest monument to the sport of running in existence and the foundational catalyst of Philos.
