The city asks everything of you.

Running teaches you how to answer.

We are very pleased to share with you our first campaign shot in New York.

"Metropolis" encompasses the vastness and verticality of Manhattan, while showcasing the rawness of running on the city streets, and the introspective moments in between.

The shoot features three runners, each accomplished in their own right, and after the run we asked them about their feelings and emotions while running, and what running in New York means to them.

What we found is that life in New York is demanding and relentless: the city asks everything of you. Running functions as a way to push back, to reclaim your strength and your power. Through consistency, determination, and resilience, running teaches you how to answer the challenge that is New York.

"I run for my younger self who was scared and used running as her way to cope with the harsh realities of life at a young age.

Running makes me feel powerful. It makes me feel like I’ve created my own safe place and no matter how my day is going there is always something to look forward to.

There are a million things that can change your emotions in a day but there is always one constant for me… running. No matter how I felt before I know after my run I will feel my best. I wish everyone could experience this high."

Michaela Baker

"Running makes me feel alive, disconnected and connected, grounded, free, disciplined but also ready to welcome some chaos. I'm inspired by my dad and grew up watching him run the Boston marathon every year. I'm driven by the idea of challenging myself, by myself, on my own timeline. It is extremely rewarding as well, no matter the result. I love the feeling of depletion.

Running in New York is insane in the best way. Running through the city, amongst suits, diplomats, artists, through parks. Even at the earliest hour something is running beside you. It is also the most runnable city in my opinion. The streets are straightforward and you can run as far as all the way to the Canadian border (Southbound 400), all while traffic and the crazy train and subway lines are running.

You have to be on at all times which I feel make me a better runner."

Jennifer Walrod

"Running in New York makes me feel alive, the city makes me feel connected to something bigger than myself. You're surrounded by millions of stories unfolding at the same time and becoming something incredible.

New York doesn't let you run on autopilot, you have to constantly be aware of your surroundings. You're sharing the space with tourists, commuters, cyclists, marathoners, etc. You're constantly being surrounded by ambition and momentum.

Running represents discipline, consistency and growth. It makes me feel confident and capable. It reminds me that progress comes from showing up repeatedly, not from being perfect."
